In a parallel Malaysia where the Petronas Twin Towers collapsed, Allan Lim returns to confront a past that never quite happened. Memories blur with dreams, commercials, and digital ghosts, tracing a fragmented search for someone lost.
Using re-edited commercials, docufictional scenes, surveillance footage, AI-generated imagery and 3D animation, the film evokes a fragmented, hybrid world, in which personal and societal histories collide. The film is an autofictional account of homecoming, memory, the violence of childhood and puberty, and the anxious attempt to find meaning across time, distance, and migration.
The project is supported by BMKOES (Pixel Bytes and Film) and Land Vorarlberg.
